ATV's are "Welcome" on the Nicolet State Trail located in eastern Forest County. The Nicolet State Trail is open for hiking, biking, snowmobiles and ATV's. This trail is groomed all winter for ATV and snowmobile use. This trail starts at the Parking Area near County Hwy G in the Town of Cavour and proceeds North into Florence County. A second Segment of the Nicolet State Trail is also available starting in the Town of Laona, near County Highway H and proceeding South to the Forest/Oconto County line. Another parking area is available in the Town of Wabeno, just off Highway 32
Forest County Snowmobile Trails will be opening as of 8:30 am Friday December 18, 2009.
