2-16-11 - Forest County has closed on the other 340 acres of land mentioed below.

Fall 2010 - Forest County has recently purchased 390 acres of Plum Creek land to add to the County Forest. This newly acquired land is still open for public recreation and huntinf however no motorized vehicle use is allowed. There is another 340 acres the County is in the process of purchasing which will be a great addition to blocking in exsiting County Forest. See map of land acquisitions

Fall 2010 - The Blackwell Job Corps has helped give Veteran's Memorial Park a face lift. The buildings and pavilions have been repainted and new metal roofs put on.

As of December 22, 2010 the Forest County Snowmobile Trails are OPEN.
